Party Ordinance Saga Continues In February

This morning I stumbled across the video below that was put out by an Independent journalist covering pushback against Flagstaff’s overreaching party ordinance. It is very well done and has some good footage of the public forum that Flagstaff PD held for concerned students and residents a few months ago.

The party ordinance saga is far from over. In the coming weeks, the Flagstaff Police Department will be holding another public forum and working on possible changes to the ordinance that will hopefully be presented to Council. I will keep you updated as things develop and meetings are scheduled.

In the meantime, check out the video posted below.

Flag Sustainability Commission Votes 4-3 To Support Carbon Tax

The Flagstaff Sustainability Commission voted 4-3 at their January 28th meeting to support a resolution presented by the Citizens’ Climate Lobby supporting a carbon tax. The Flagstaff City Council will be voting on this resolution next week.

The Citizens’ Climate Lobby created a seven page document just for me to try to convince me that this carbon tax is a libertarian, free market proposal. You can read that document here:

Citizens Climate Lobby Document For Elisha Dorfsmith

As you probably guessed, I was not convinced and was one of the three NO votes.

You can watch the entire commission meeting here:

The video below shows some of the commission discussion and the vote:

The GOP Clearly Does NOT Want My Vote

I caught the last 20 minutes of last night’s Republican presidential debate and all I heard was execute Snowden, give the government backdoors to everybody’s computer, ban encryption, always give law enforcement the benefit of the doubt because they are always¬†the good guys, and lets stomp all over the world like we own it.

No thanks. They have to try harder than that if they want the liberty vote.

I’ll be voting third party in November.
