Effort To Repeal Flagstaff’s Overreaching Party Ordinance Underway

Over the past several months I have posted several articles strongly opposing an overreaching party ordinance that was recently approved by the Flagstaff City Council in a 6-1 vote.

Yesterday paperwork was filed by John Bower to try to repeal the ordinance through a referendum. Here is more information on that effort:

“Jun 12, 2015 — I would like to proudly announce the formation of The Nuisance Party for the Repeal of Flagstaff Ordinance 2015-08!

Myself, Chairman, and Ben Alfich, Treasurer, are looking for volunteers to begin circulating a physical petition around the city limits of Flagstaff.

If you or anyone you know would like to lend a hand mobilizing and getting this petition around to as many residents of the City of Flagstaff as possible, send me an email at bohnjower@gmail.com

Stay tuned for Facebook events and other updates. Thank you all for getting us this far. Our efforts and concern will not be ignored!”

If you are a City of Flagstaff resident and would like to sign the petition or help circulate it please contact John Bower at the above address.

Have you tried to get the student groups involved. fraternities will be able to reach their folks year round. There are some club and sports team face book pages.

If they start posting “I am going to change colleges if they keep this law or “We will have to fight the cops in the streets” I bet the law would disappear.

Thanks for the thoughts! We do have NAU students involved and they are working together with us to try to repeal this. Will try to find more of those pages today and try to do more outreach.
