Coconino County GOP Chair: Cease And Desist

By Elisha Dorfsmith

Today I received a cease and desist letter from Rose Law Group representing Coconino County Republican Committee Chairwoman Joy Staveley. The letter demands I make changes to three articles I wrote about the removal of CCRC treasurer Ray Jordan. I will comply with their request and will be updating those blogs to include my sources, reflect new information, and clarify details.

That said, I would like my readers to post in the comment section of my blog and tell me if they think there is any good reason I should stick with the Republican Party and continue on as a Precinct Committeeman?

Elected State Committeemen have been stripped from their positions, an elected treasurer has been stripped from his position. If anyone else in leadership dares to speak up, they will be removed in the same way.

I know for a fact that they don’t want me in the party. Perhaps it’s time to move on?

Joy Staveley backs up several of my claims in her own words documented in a Flagstaff Police Report:

What a tragic day it will be for the Republican Party for you to step down in the face of bullying. Stand tall for what you believe is true and right so that you will have no regrets later on. If you are dismissed or stripped of your position, let it be in the name of Liberty, and let it be done with pride in what we all stand for. We stand behind you, Elisha.

Good words of encouragement! This is sad to be happening in America, but it is a sure sign that socialism is doing its best to take over, and the only way it can, is for us to give up the fight! Fight on my fellow American!

Thanks guys! I will stick around for a while longer. Really appreciate the kind words.

Pressure is coming , we can not stand for the abuse of powers by our elected officials. Particularly the ones in our Party. There is not excuse for us to roll over or lie down.

Remember, tyrants will do whatever they can to retain their power.

I urge you to continue with the Republican party and to continue shining a light on underhanded behavior. I know it takes a lot of time, effort, money and energy, and I applaud and commend you on your efforts. In the end, honesty, integrity, transparency and fairness will prevail in the end.

This is a sad day for the First Amendment. Unfortunately, your First Amendment rights are shut down because you are alternate media reporting what you were told and do not have the money to protect your rights. God bless the Greenbacks, right? This is the exact type of tactic the government uses to shut us down. Is this lawyer the CCRC lawyer? That would, of course, be a conflict of interest. Why didn’t leadership simply issue a statement to you “correcting” your article?

My solution is that we need all real Constitutional Republicans (Refer to the Constitution of the United States, Article IV, Section 4) to get together and form an alternate Republican group. Unfortunately it is the leadership of the current Republican party that is assisting the democrats in causing this schism in the party. Taking away their donations might be a way to shake them up.

I heard lots of flowery election speeches from the old guard about voter outreach and growing the party (not to mention working together). I guess they decided that shoring up their little fiefdom by amassing more PC proxy votes, dragging Ray’s name through the mud, and harassing you was more important.

Pretty telling how, since the CCRC election, FLA has had a presence at several events and several more scheduled, while the CCRC has had a total of one event since, and nothing scheduled until July 4. Also, maybe I’m missing it but the CCRC really has no social media presence at all (their last FB post was 9/2/12, and they have no twitter acct. at all), and the CCRC blog leaves a LOT to be desired too (http://coconinorepublicans.blogspot.com/). Maybe they should form a social media committee. πŸ˜‰

I wonder if the rest of the PCs are regretting their support for the establishment now, or if they’re content with the establishment’s private social club as it is. Though, if having 10 unchallenged Ds on the ballot last Nov. didn’t give them second thoughts, maybe nothing will.

Glad to hear you’re sticking with it, Elisha! Remember, RP stuck it out for 23 years in that den of vipers and thieves known as CONgress, and they didn’t want him there speaking truth to power (or the powerless) either. You *have* to give it at least that many years, especially since time is on your side. πŸ™‚
