Steele: “Ron Paul Treated With Rudeness And Stupidity”

By Elisha Dorfsmith

Yesterday Michael Steele said the following during an interview on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart:

“What the Republican National Committee did to Ron Paul was the height of rudeness and stupidity for this reason: Why would you alienate an individual who has the ability to attract a new generation of voters, who are already skeptical of your institution but are willing to at least listen through the vehicle of this individual and the words that he is saying? Why would you alienate them, get on the floor and not let them speak? Not have his name go up on the board and see the number of electoral votes that he receives? This is crazy!”

Powerful words coming from the Former RNC Chairman. The Republican party seems to be actively looking for ways to alienate young voters.

I knew I saved my picture with Michael Steele for a reason.

Nice picture. I surmise they want to alienate anyone attempting to usurp the current power structure. The political parties no longer work to achieve political goals; they work to achieve payments from their largest donors. “Young people” would be not members of that crowd.

I’ve never been a big supporter of Michael Steele but, his quote this time around is truly inspired and on target.
